There are 2 today.
The first will be Log Cabin Day. The Log Cabin Society, founded by Virginia Handy, and the Bad Axe Historical Society, in Michigan created the annual Log Cabin Day on June 25, 1986. Their objectives included promoting the preservation of Log Cabins, and awareness and education of life during the era in America when log cabins were common.
Growing up in the Pacific North West, I have seen my share of cabins. And I love them. Renting a cabin for the weekend is my kind of "camping". LOL.

And the second is National Catfish Day.

Well, that isn't really what I was talking about...but it was so cute I couldn't pass it up!
On June 25, 1987, President Ronald Reagan began a presidential proclamation with the words "More and more Americans are discovering a uniquely American food delicacy — farm-raised catfish."
Now, I have never seen a catfish in real life, and I have never eaten one....I don't think its on my menu any time soon...
