We have come to the end of day 1. Ayden did not earn his treat, which was ice cream before bed. He did everything with enthusiasm, except cleaning his room. To which he said that he was not going to do. Hm, I guess I need to come up with a more enticing reward for Sunday.
Okay, so how do I fix this hatred of cleaning his room.
I think part of the problem is that his room is small and unorganized. If I sit on the bed and tell him "first get all of your train tracks and put them here. He will, each thing, like a game. I need to make his room more organized and easier for him to pick things up in order.
Tomorrow I am going to get new storage boxes, with specific labels for each of his main toys:
cars and trucks
The other half of the problem is Angelinna. She is not good at keeping toys in their places, her toy box is always completely empty, and the second you put anything into it, she tosses it all out across her room. So of course she does the same thing to Ayden's room. So he gets discouraged about picking up his toys when Angel will just come in and tear it up again. So I am going to reorganize his closet so he can put things away and shut the door. Keeping the boxes out of Angel's reach.
